Our Needs

Since 1977, Achievement Center of Texas has cared for hundreds of students with disabilities in our community. The lasting effects of the COVID pandemic ultimately led to us closing our doors in 2022. A tough battle was fought and we just recently reopened to serve the students of ACT once again.

With a new building comes new needs, however, our biggest needs are not inside our building but out. We want our students out in the community as much as possible taking in the surrounding environment and learning new things. In order to do that we need 2 new handicap accessible vans to help transport students and program funding and volunteers to make these outings safe and fun for the students.

A program like the Achievement Center of Texas truly cares about their clients and wants what is best for them both in the center and out in the community. Thank you for considering Achievement Center of Texas.

Giving Activity

Mission

The ACT is a licensed non-profit day habilitation center for adolescents and adults with special needs. We make every effort to offer families services that support those students wherever possible. In providing a wide range of services in the least restrictive environment, students at the Achievement Center can grow and develop physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially. At our center, they work toward greater independence and a more satisfying way of life.
